Paramount+ has once again struck gold with Landman, the Texas-set drama that has taken the streaming world by storm. According to Paramount Global, the series’ pilot has already amassed 35 million global views since its November 2024 debut.
It’s no surprise—Landman was co-created by Taylor Sheridan, the acclaimed writer behind hits like Yellowstone, Tulsa King, and Lioness.
The show stars Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy Norris, a savvy landman managing an oil patch for tycoon Monty Miller (Jon Hamm). Co-creator Christian Wallace explained that what sets Landman apart from previous oil-industry dramas like Dallas is its focus on both the working class and the corporate elite.
What to Expect in Season 2
Season 1 ended with Tommy being named head of M-TEX Oil as Monty faces a life-threatening illness. Cami Miller (Demi Moore) is also positioned for a bigger role in the company. Meanwhile, Tommy is abducted by Jimenez, a member of the Galino cartel (Andy Garcia), setting up a tense storyline that promises to continue in season 2.
And what about Monty? He appears to be dead, creating opportunities for Cami to step into a more prominent position—bringing new drama, power plays, and twists.

Cast for Season 2
Paramount confirmed the return of most season 1 cast members, including Billy Bob Thornton, Demi Moore, Jacob Lofland, Michelle Randolph, Paulina Chávez, and Colm Feore.
Ali Larter returns as Angela Norris, Tommy’s ex-wife. She emphasizes that her character remains fully developed and represents mature, independent women navigating life and family in this high-stakes world.
New addition Sam Elliott brings his signature Southern drawl and neo-Western gravitas to the series. Andy Garcia’s Galino also expands his role, deepening the cartel’s influence in the oil business.
When Does Season 2 Premiere?
