Coronation Street exit ‘confirmed’ for David Platt – David Platt, made a huge admission in tonight’s episode of Coronation Street.

David Platt’s Future in Coronation Street in Doubt After Shocking Confession

Jack P Shepherd’s time on the cobbles may be nearing its end as his character, David Platt, made a significant admission in tonight’s episode of Coronation Street.

David was consumed by guilt as he confided in Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) following a staged car collision.

Last week, viewers watched in shock as David orchestrated a car crash in a desperate attempt to end his life. However, his plan took an unexpected turn when Daisy was unknowingly caught in the path of the speeding vehicle, putting both of their lives at risk.

He quickly pushed Daisy out of the way but still got struck by the vehicle. David survived the crash but Daisy received the heartbreaking news that her baby didn’t. On Monday night, while still recovering, he learned from Shona that the money Harvey has been asking for has been sorted.

Daniel revealed the money came from Daisy, leaving David feeling worse about what happened. Daisy went to the hospital to thank him for pushing her out of the way of the car but learned the truth from him. After coming clean, he’s left unsure whether Daisy will go to the police about his criminal activity and what he did.

David reveals the truth to Daisy

Could this be the end of David on the cobbles? David had asked Andy to run him over in a hit and run but to make it look like an accident but this week, more comes out about the crash as driver Andy faces police questioning.

Kit had just found out he was the father of Daisy’s unborn baby, so he’s struggling with the loss and is left angry by some news. Lisa Swain tells her colleague that Andy has been arrested and is claiming that the crash was a drunken accident.

David’s involvement soon comes to light though it seems, and Daisy knows the truth. It’s Daisy who ends up telling Kit it’s all David’s fault, and it could lead to deadly revenge scenes. A preview for Wednesday’s episode reveals the moment Kit tracks David down alone in the salon. He soon makes it clear he knows what happened and that David is in big trouble.

The caption released by the show for the preview also hints at danger ahead for David, as Kit must decide what to do about his actions. In the clip Kit tells David it’s only a matter of time before Andy cracks with the police, before dropping the bombshell that Daisy has spilled the beans.

David apologises and pleads with Kit to believe it was not what he wanted to happen but Kit tells him: “You’ll be gutted to hear that Andy has resurfaced. Right about now he’s sat in a cell alone. They’ll be questioning what your friendship means to him. Luckily for you he is hiding behind a Poundshop lawyer and the phrase ‘no comment’. But only 20% of communication is verbal, the other 80% of his face has your name written all over it.”
