Coronation Street fans are asking whether Beth Nixon has left the ITV soap after Megan Walsh’s fate was finally revealed in court.
Beth joined the cobbles as Megan, a PE teacher whose storyline quickly became one of the most disturbing and hard-hitting plots of the year. Her character groomed Will Driscoll, manipulating him into believing their relationship was love while leaving him confused, frightened and emotionally trapped.
Now, with Megan’s trial reaching its dramatic conclusion, viewers are wondering whether this marks the end of Beth Nixon’s time in Weatherfield.
The courtroom scenes have placed Will and his family under enormous pressure. For Will, giving evidence and facing Megan’s version of events was never just about the law. It was about being believed after months of manipulation and emotional harm.
Sam Blakeman has also been deeply affected, with his fear of Megan walking free adding another layer of pain to the storyline. His panic has shown how far Megan’s actions reached beyond Will alone, leaving several young characters and families shaken by the fallout.
Megan’s verdict may bring one chapter to an end, but it does not magically fix what happened.
If Beth Nixon is leaving the soap as expected, her exit will close a short but intense chapter on the cobbles. Megan was never designed to be a comfortable character. She was written to expose a dangerous abuse of power and show how grooming can confuse, isolate and harm a young person.
Beth’s performance has been praised by viewers, even as fans strongly condemned Megan’s actions. That is often the mark of a powerful soap villain — someone audiences hate because the actor has made the character feel chillingly believable.
The big question now is what comes next for Will.
A verdict may offer justice, but recovery is a much longer road. Will may still have to process what Megan did, rebuild trust with his family and begin understanding that he was not to blame.
The Driscolls may also need time to heal. Ben, Eva and Maggie have all been forced to watch someone they love suffer through a deeply painful case, and the emotional impact will not end simply because the trial is over.
For Coronation Street, Megan’s ending may be confirmed.
But for Will, Sam and everyone caught in the fallout, the story is not really over.
Because even when a villain leaves Weatherfield, the scars they leave behind can last much longer.
