Viewers on the hunt for a gripping detective drama need look no further.
One Netflix crime series, hailed as a “masterpiece”, is tailor-made for those who adore the long-running ITV favourites Endeavour and Vera, reports the Express.
In a Reddit thread seeking recommendations on what to watch following the conclusion of the Inspector Morse prequel series, one user put forward an entire list of crime dramas, including Broadchurch, Vera and The Chestnut Man on Netflix.
While the first two suggestions are well-established British crime drama staples, The Chestnut Man is considerably darker than its counterparts and has likely slipped beneath the radar for even the most dedicated television enthusiasts.

The detective duo must race against time to apprehend the murderer after the killer is connected to the child of a missing politician.
