From Friends to Foes? Gordon Ramsay & ITV Accused of Plotting Against Gino D’Acampo Amid Rising Tensions!
Gordon Ramsay once teamed up with Gino D’Acampo on an ITV show, but now, Gino has reportedly dropped a bombshell accusation—claiming that both the celebrity chef and the broadcaster are working against him. The drama is heating up, leaving fans wondering: what really happened?
Gino D’Acampo Feels ‘Betrayed’ – Accuses ITV and Gordon Ramsay of Turning Against Him Amid Misconduct Scandal!
Gino D’Acampo is reportedly feeling “hard done by” as he accuses both ITV and longtime friend Gordon Ramsay of working against him during his ongoing misconduct investigation.
The former This Morning star is currently under scrutiny following allegations of inappropriate behavior spanning over 12 years. According to ITV News, more than 40 individuals have been interviewed regarding the claims, with the most recent complaint allegedly filed in 2023.
As the controversy escalates, tensions between Gino, ITV, and his industry peers appear to be reaching a breaking point. Will he fight back?
Gino, 48, has “firmly denied” the allegations, and reportedly blames both Gordon Ramsay and ITV for putting him in the situation. Gordon worked with Gino and fellow chef Fred Sirieix on the series Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip, which had several spin-off seeing the stars travelling together. An insider claimed that Gordon’s sudden departure from the show coincided too neatly with Gino’s investigation.
“There has been a lot coming out about his time with Gordon Ramsay and it is very anti-Gino. One minute they are working together and the best of friends. Then he leaves the Road Trip series and he is basically finished within a couple of years,” they told the Mail Online.
A different person added that Gino also had beef with ITV, and that the broadcaster encouraged his cheeky chappie persona. They said that Gino was “told to behave as he did,” and so was confused by the sudden turn against him. “He will be making that clear when he thinks it’s time to speak out,” they added. The Mirror has reached out to Gino’s reps for comment.
Another friend of the star emphasised how much viewers seemed to enjoy Gino’s on-screen antics, and claimed that ITV was cutting Gino adrift despite benefitting from his popularity.
“He feels pretty hard done by. You have to wonder, ITV surely profited from all of this and now they are running away from it by getting rid of him,” they said.
“It appears to be a typical case of ITV realising that they wanted him to be a certain way – and then it blew up in their faces.”
Earlier this week, a source claimed that Gordon himself had made it clear that he had issues with Gino’s behaviour, and was ready to turn his back on his former friend.
“Gordon was horrified with what had gone on and felt it was time to step in and stop it,” the insider told the Mail Online.
They added: “He has three daughters and a wife, Tana, who he absolutely adores and felt it was disgusting. He wanted to change those ways but then it led to difficulties between them.
“Gordon found there was a lot of unacceptable behaviour going on, he saw things he didn’t think were okay so he spoke up. That was that, friendship over.” They added that the Ramsay family are said to be “throwing Gino under the bus.”
