Jacqueline Jossa breaks her silence on split rumours with Dan Osborne after nearly 8 years of marriage – admits “it comes with the job” in candid new interview
EastEnders star Jacqueline Jossa sets the record straight: “I’m done explaining my marriage” – speaks out after rumours of split with Dan Osborne intensified when couple listed family home and he bought a new property.
In an interview with The Sun, Jacqueline revealed that the pair are still together and have just been reassessing their assets. “People seem to think they know more about my life than I do,” she said.
“They were saying: ‘Jacqueline didn’t spend Christmas with Daniel.’ But all I have to do is post pictures of us together with Christmas hats on. We lie in bed next to each other, laughing and reading stuff online about us.”
She added that the speculation over their relationship is “ridiculous”, but understands that it comes with being in the public spotlight. ”
“But apart from me being back on EastEnders, I haven’t put myself out there in that space. I haven’t done any reality shows recently and neither has Dan. “I read things about Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan and go: ‘Really? Is that true?’ But I’m sure they are happy. It’s not my business what other people think or want to read.”
Jacqueline went on to say that she hasn’t done any reality shows recently and neither has her husband Dan, with the pair just continuing to work. “We just crack on with our day jobs and looking after our kids,” she said. “He is a fantastic dad. I’m done going on to social media trying to explain it.”
The soap star, who plays Lauren Branning on EastEnders, was left reeling last year after being robbed while on holiday. The actress and her family were thought to have lost £20,000 worth of jewellery, including her engagement ring from Dan.
The couple, who share daughters Ella, nine, and five-year-old Mia, were enjoying a family holiday with Dan’s son Teddy, eight, when they reportedly woke up to find two masked criminals shining torches in their room last August.
“The villa has good security and Jacqueline and Dan have got CCTV. They think it took about ten minutes for the burglars to break in. It’s possible the men were in the property for 15 minutes. Jacqueline said it was totally silent,” a friend said at the time.
