ITV Shake-Up! Britain’s Got Talent Pulled from Saturday Night Lineup for Six Nations Rugby Final
Hit series Britain’s Got Talent has been removed from Saturday night’s schedule to make way for live coverage of the Six Nations match on ITV1.
Fans expecting to watch the latest episode of the talent show, hosted by Ant and Dec, will instead see the highly anticipated France vs. Scotland rugby union final, taking place at the Stade de France. The match kicks off at 8 PM, with ITV’s coverage beginning at 7:15 PM—right in Britain’s Got Talent’s usual slot.
Britain’s Got Talent Returns Next Week After ‘Fake’ Backlash Over Simon Cowell’s Shocking Audition Moment!
The talent show is set to return next week after last Saturday’s controversial episode, which left fans calling it ‘fake’ following a jaw-dropping audition that had Simon Cowell claiming he ‘feared for his life.’
The shocking moment unfolded when contestant Kranthi Drillman, armed with a sledgehammer, instructed Simon to lie on stage in an angel position, surrounding him with watermelons and coconuts. Blindfolded, Kranthi began smashing the fruit wildly—ignoring Simon’s desperate pleas to stop. As the audience grew visibly uncomfortable, producers were forced to step in, adding to the drama of an already bizarre performance.
After the unexpected twist, Britain’s Got Talent fans are now eagerly waiting for the show’s return next week. Will the next round of auditions be just as shocking?
Simon later admitted he was genuinely worried for his safety during the act. However, many BGT viewers accused Kranthi of faking his intense performance. Fans claim to have spotted the secret behind his act, suggesting that his blindfold was actually see-through. One user wrote on X, formerly Twitter: “Obviously see through the blindfold.” Whilst another echoed: “He could obviously see through the scarf and he thinks he’s won.”
A third penned: “You can tell the coconuts and the watermelons have been weakened and you could tell he could clearly see what he was doing when Simon was laid down.” A fourth wrote: “There is no way that hammer swinging idiot could not see.” Whilst a fifth said: “What a load of b******s! If that yoga teacher was totally blindfolded he wouldn’t hit a coconut or watermelon every single time with 100% accuracy.”

A sixth said: “Yeah. He could see through the blindfold. Idiots, these people.” One eagled eyed viewer claimed that Kranthi locked eyes with a crew member penning: “For anybody wondering if he could see through the blindfold or not (fairly obvious though) take a look at the end when the stagehand puts his hand up in front of his face to tell him to stop.”
During the dangerous act, Simon, who was advised to stay still, didn’t listen and moved around, making the move extra risky. Alesha Dixon, 46, and Amanda Holden, 54, were keen for the act to stop as the sledgehammer landed centimetres from Simon’s face. “I genuinely thought my days were numbered,” admitted Simon.
So far in the new series there have been multiple acts who have received the Golden Buzzer, which guarantees a place in the semi final rounds of the talent show. Singer Vinnie McKee, impressionist Will Burns and singer Stacey Leadbeatter are all through to the live rounds that will be shown later this spring.
