SISTERHOOD OVER STATUS: EXPELLED FROM PROMOTION, CAITLIN CLARK’S OWN TEAMMATE SLAMS THE WNBA’S “JOKE” MARKETING SNUB!

SOPHIE CUNNINGHAM has slammed the WNBA once again over a decision concerning Indiana Fever teammate Caitlin Clark.

The WNBA has been embroiled in controversy over the past two weeks with Clark at the center of it all.

Indiana’s superstar guard was hit in the throat by Phoenix Mercury’s Alyssa Thomas in their game last Wednesday.

Another angle also appeared to show Thomas driving her knee into Clark’s groin as she lay on the floor.

The incident, not called as a foul during the game, resulted in a one-game ban and a fine for Thomas as it was deemed a Flagrant 2 Foul.

Barely a day later, the WNBA added more fuel to the fire when it released its poster celebrating the league’s 30th anniversary. Sophie Cunningham turns heads with bold outfit as WNBA fans call her ‘gorgeous’

Clark did not feature in the poster with Cunningham instead selected to represent the Fever among players past and present.

And that decision infuriated fans and even Cunningham herself as she hit out at the WNBA’s treatment of Clark for the second time that week.

She said on her ‘Show Me Something’ podcast, “Why would you ever put me on it?”

Her co-host West Wilson insisted it was a cool moment for the Fever icon but questioned the WNBA’s call from a general perspective.

“People are up in arms that Caitlin’s not on it,” he said.

“I don’t want to get in beef with Cathy either but it’s like she’s jealous of her. She like won’t give her the platform. It’s f***ing so weird.”

Cunningham responded in kind as she questioned Clark being exempted.

“You are leaving out a generational best player to ever go through the WNBA,” she replied.

“Honestly if they were smart, they would market the s*** out of some of us. They don’t.”

When reminded she had made the poster, she also said, “That should be Caitlin.
