Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are relying on their thriving physical chemistry as rumors of an impending breakup persist.
“Things are pretty good with them, certainly not as dire as the rumors,” an insider told the Daily Mail on Wednesday, adding that they are “like every other couple” in the midst of a years-long marriage.
They explained that their “off-the-charts” romantic chemistry is “keeping the spark going,” despite a notable lack of public appearances together over the past year.
Prior to that, in November, the Grammy winning songstress shared a sweet PDA photo with Shelton via Instagram Stories, in which he tenderly kissed her on the cheek.
Responding to the breakup speculation, a rep for the “God’s Country” singer told Page Six at the time, “This is a completely made-up story created solely for headlines and clicks.”
The couple — who met on the set of “The Voice” in 2014 and married in Oklahoma in 2021 — first sparked rumors of discontent with the March release of breakup duet “Hangin’ On.”
Their failure to appear together at the CMA Awards in November, despite Shelton having a notable nomination, further intensified rumors.
Their last joint red carpet appearance was in March, when they attended the Opry 100: A Live Celebration in Nashville.
Stefani was previously married to Gavin Rossdale, with whom she shares sons Kingston, 19, Zuma, 17, and Apollo, 11.
Shelton, meanwhile, split from fellow country singer Miranda Lambert in 2015 after four years of marriage.
