Britain’s Got Talent 2026 winner revealed after more than one million votes as fans say other acts were robbed

Britain’s Got Talent crowned its 2026 champion on Saturday night after months of auditions, live semi-finals, and dramatic performances, with one act ultimately making show history in the grand finale.

The ITV competition returned for its 19th season this year, continuing its long run as one of Britain’s biggest entertainment shows since first launching in 2007.

Over the years, the series has produced several unforgettable winners, including Diversity, Ashleigh and Pudsey, Sydnie Christmas, and Paul Potts, with champions going on to perform at the prestigious Royal Variety Performance in front of the Royal Family.

This year’s winner not only secured a place at the Royal Variety Performance later this year, but also walked away with the show’s £250,000 cash prize.

Saturday night’s final saw judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and KSI return to the panel one last time this season as the remaining 10 finalists performed live for the public vote.

After more than one million votes were cast, The Hawkstone Farmers’ Choir were officially announced as the winners of Britain’s Got Talent 2026, becoming the first choir ever to win the competition.

The group is made up of farmers and agricultural workers from across the UK and was originally formed in 2024 with support from television presenter and farmer Jeremy Clarkson. The choir was created to celebrate the farming community and raise awareness of issues affecting rural life.

Viewers quickly reacted online after the result was revealed, with many celebrating the choir’s emotional victory.

“Well done, well deserved,” one fan wrote on X.

Another viewer posted: “I’ve always wanted a choir to win and now they’ve finally done it.”

A third added simply: “Bravo, congrats.”

Still, not everyone agreed with the final outcome, as some fans argued that other contestants deserved the title more.

Several viewers claimed acts including dance troupe LMA, singer Matty Juniosa, and dog act Anastasia and Salsa had been “robbed” of the win.
