Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) was utterly horrified to find Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) covered in blood in today’s Coronation Street, following what was Theo Silverton’s (James Cartwright) worst attack yet.
A couple of days ago, Todd agreed to Theo’s idea of them moving to Belfast to start a new life together. Things changed for him yesterday though, when Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) told him that she thinks Theo killed Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank).
The fact he’s witnessed Theo’s violence left Todd fully aware that Summer’s theory is probably correct. He then headed back to the flat with Theo, ready for their final night before moving.

In a panic, Todd lied to Theo and said that he needed to stay in Weatherfield because Summer isn’t coping as well as he thought after Billy’s death. Theo immediately knew Todd was lying, and locked him in their bedroom.
As morning broke, Todd tried to get Theo to open the door, but he burst into tears, saying that he’s terrified he’s going to leave. Todd managed to reassure Theo, and later remained in his good books by lying to Sarah and claiming they were already on their way to Northern Ireland.
Just as Theo went into the bathroom for a shower, Todd made another attempt at leaving. He grabbed his bag, but got delayed when he couldn’t find the front door keys.
Because Theo already had them.
The final time we saw Todd in the flat he was getting backed into a corner by a very angry Theo, utterly petrified for his life.
Hours later, Sarah received a call on the phone in her flat. She was surprised to hear Todd’s voice but when he stated that he wasn’t physically able to walk up the stairs, Sarah dropped the phone and ran.
Outside, Sarah discovered Todd barely able to hold himself up. As she held him, Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) ran off to get the car.
Todd told Sarah that he wants to go to the police station.
In Wednesday’s episode, Todd will be questioned by Kit and DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers), as he details the true horror Theo has put him through in the abusive relationship.
