THE TRUTH REVEALED: THEO’S KILLER FINALLY EXPOSED IN SH0CKING NEW EVIDENCE

Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers) and Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) are still hot on the trail of Theo Silverton’s (James Cartwright) killer in Coronation Street and, this week, Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) is the number one suspect.

As Summer comes to blows with George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley), when Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins) is caught in a lie, George is forced to tell the police what he knows. Has he sealed Summer’s fate? And how will Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) react to what he’s done?

The Driscoll clan continues to crumble, with Maggie and Ben (Pauline McLynn and Aaron McCusker) firmly at odds. As Will’s (Lucas Hodgson-Wale) mental health continues to spiral and even little Susie (Aurora Bradshaw) finds herself in bother, can anything fix the fractured family?

As Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) finds himself the victim of a vicious troll, will he fledgling friendship with Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown) hurt or help him?

Meanwhile, Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) struggles to cope in the aftermath of her assault, Sam Blakeman’s (Jude Riordan) struggles rage on and Roy Cropper (David Neilson) shows off the new and improved Roy’s Rolls.

That’s enough teasing, isn’t it? Let’s get into the spoilers!

Maggie’s lies continue to unravel, and when Ben returns home to find a sobbing Maggie in Eva Price’s (Catherine Tyldesley) arms, he’s met with a plea to go easy on her.

When Daniel laments that he feels unable to face the world, Jodie tries to bolster him by claiming that she saw Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) and that Bertie (Rufus Morgan-Smith) is deeply missing him. When Daniel heads to No.1 and discovers Bertie is having a great time, he heads home to confront Jodie over her lies.

At the same time, George and Christina’s eyes fall on Summer when they discover her journal, including a passage that details her putting a gun to Theo’s head, while Kit discovers something that puts her firmly in the frame, and Sam hears Roy tell him that nobody can be trusted.

Summer is interrogated by Lisa with Kit’s discovery, while back on the street, Todd goes to bat for her. Later, George questions Summer further, and a flashback reveals what he saw.

Ben is sickened to learn that Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon) has been released on bail, and further angered when Maggie comes to family lunch. After being forced to tell a wounded Will that Megan is out, Ben snaps when he learns that Ollie (Raphael Akuwudike) invited Maggie, and he lets both Ollie and Will know about Maggie’s secrets.

Meanwhile, Fiz Dobbs (Jennie McAlpine) worries to Carla Connor-Swain (Alison King) about Sarah, who’s offended when Carla gives some of her work to Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell), Roy proudly shows off his newly decorated café and Daniel becomes the target of an online troll who alleges he knew what Megan was doing and that he’d previously groomed Summer.

Sarah continues to unravel at work and after she makes an admin error and loses her temper, Carla tells her she needs to take some time off and she heads to the Rovers to get drunk.

Summer fiercely reprimands George over his accusations, and suggests that he killed Theo. Later, when she discovers Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) and Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) gossiping about her, she’s about to explode when Gary Windass (Mikey North) swoops her away. Christina is caught in a lie by the police and pushes George to tell them what he knows.

Elsewhere, when Daniel admits to Jodie that his troll, ‘Truthteller’ is somebody who knows him, she points him in David Platt’s (Jack P Shepherd) direction.

Will confides in Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) that he’s on edge with the knowledge that Megan is currently free and while Ben tries to book a family holiday, Susie’s behaviour causes yet more drama for the Driscolls.

Overhearing George admit to Christina that he’s told the police of Summer’s lies, she panics and flees. When Todd finds her mid-getaway, she admits that the American university are flying her out this afternoon, while confessing that she’s terrified the police are coming for her.

Concurrently, Carla demands Sarah take some time away from work.

Daniel treats Jodie to lunch when she announces that it’s her birthday, but the mood sours when Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) arrives and reveals that Jodie’s birthday isn’t until December.

As Summer remembers a witness who can confirm her alibi, guilty George admits to Todd that he gave the police to information they needed to arrest Summer.

Elsewhere, while skiving his PE exam, Will seeks refuge in the precinct, where Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) finds him and offers support, drawing on her own experiences of being groomed, though when she touches his hand, Will explodes.
